Marley Clay Club feature tile
Marley feature tiles should only be used with roof pitches of 70° and below, bands of feature tiles should be confined to a maximum of four courses. These bands must then be separated by a minimum of four courses of standard Plain Tiles. These measures are designed to reduce the risk of water ingress and wind uplift caused by the reduced tile head-lap inherent with these tiles. Ridges, hips, valleys and verges are the most vulnerable points of any roof and therefore careful detailing in respect of feature tiles should be considered. It is advised that Feature bands of tiling should be avoided directly adjacent to Bonnet/Arris hips, valley tiles or verges. Feature tiles should terminate against a standard Plain Tile at least two tile widths away from detailing/fitting. To assist in maintaining a broken bond pattern Feature tiles are available in both standard tile and tile-and-a-half formats. -

Cedral Fibre Cement Slate
Cedral slates are made of fibre cement. This composite material is composed of ingredients that are readily available in nature and that are low in toxicity. The main components are cement (made from limestone and clay rock), sand, air and water – mixed with fibres for extra strength. Thanks to the clever combination of air (30% of fibre-cement slates) and fibres, fibre cement slates are lighter and stronger than natural slates or roof tiles. They have an excellent wind and weather resistance, withstanding storms with ease. Thanks to their porous structure, they can also absorb up to a third of their weight in humidity, effectively combating condensation in your roof structure. This makes them the ideal roofing material, both for renovations and new constructions. Also important: fibre cement slates also have an excellent fire performance classification of A2-s1, d0. With Cedral slates you add safety and peace of mind to your home. -

Vent3 – Breathable Membrane
Vent3 is a heavy weight, triple layer fabric, high performance breather membrane, made from high tensile spun bonded polypropylene layers, around a micro-porous polypropylene film. Designed for use as a universal breather membrane for roofs and walls boasting superior moisture vapour permeability. Vent3 has a printed blue upper surface with preprinted marking lines and a white under-face. The high vapour permeability and waterproof properties of the membrane, combined with excellent tensile/tear strength, make Vent3 an ideal product for use in all pitched roof applications. It will allow the escape of water vapour from within the roof structure whilst protecting against wind driven rain, snow and dust which may penetrate the main roof waterproofing, providing a permanent quality breather underlay, which will last the life of the roof construction.
